TRAINVirginiaAll aboard! The Division of Educational Development of the Virginia Office of EMS is pleased to announce the launch of TRAINVirginia, our new Learning Management System (LMS) which allows the Office of EMS to offer web-based Category 1 and Category 2 continuing education credits. TRAINVirginia can be accessed by visiting the following link: https://va.train.org
is produced by the Virginia Office of EMS, and can be viewed at the Emergency Services Training Center on the third Wednesday of each month from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Each night, a different topic is presented, and scenarios are included. Currently, all EMSAT broadcasts give one Category 1 hour for both ALS and BLS providers. Click here for a complete schedule.
Quarterly Check-Offs All quarterly check-offs can be done by appointment on the third Wednesday evening of each month from 1830-1900. Contact Suzie Helbert to arrange for an appointment.
Required Drug Training for Henry County Providers. There are three drugs added to the protocols. Please view the presentation on the drug that pertains to you and then take the quiz. See your agency's Captain to have it graded and then filed in your training file at your station. If you have any questions, please contact Suzie Helbert.

Required Neb Treatment Class Next Date TBA Taking names for waiting list. New Approved Skill: EMT-B Administration of Nebulized Albuterol Dr. Shields has recently approved administration of nebulized albuterol by EMT-Basic providers who have successfully completed the Neb Treatment class at HCDPS. EMT-B providers must have a copy of the course completion certificate on file at their station prior to utilizing this skill. This class is limited to 12 participants and will be offered multiple times.
